Prototyping concept of a load-bearing structure that is responsive to the person's action and reconfigured to allow/prevent the person from going up or down the stairs. When built on a real scale, it will act similar to a safety gate allowing parents to keep their baby from falling downstairs or pet owners to keep their pets from coming upstairs.
